    That exhaust has a little throat to it. I can hear it even when it downshifts. Mines an AT.
    Could be what you're hearing.

    Carrier bearing inspected today, there’s movement, but there is suppose to be. Cannot grease the driveline, no zerk fittings in u-joints. All u-joints tight, no play whatsoever. Front wheel bearings inspected, no movement at all, spun the wheel and listened with mechanical stethoscope, smooth and quiet. Think the noise is inherit. Solution- turn the radio on.
