TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I picked one of these up a while ago. Don’t have a lathe tho so gotta figure something out. Let me no if you wanna sell one that you have done? You should sell them with the bolt maybe just to this small group atleast haha.

 

I’ve been having a ton of fun driving the past few days. If I punch it from ~10mph the tires will slip all the way through 1st till it upshifts.

What do you guys do for road traction when you’re trying to balance speed with maintaining offroad capabilities? (AKA I wanna keep my A/Ts...) Is there a best-of-both-worlds option?

Doubly solved by more traction and (downside) more weight. I’m trying to avoid the slow-down of 285s though

 

Split the difference. 255/75R17.

 

Got it. I pressed it over a bit so I wouldn't worry about damaging the bearing while trimming the rear. You shortened it quite a lot I see now

Yep, in C-load. Almost the same weight as 265/70/R17 in C-load but taller, about the same height as 275s.

Any of you fellas get upgraded transmission valve body from IPT? Was also looking into WAT (wholesale auto transmissions) out of Australia, Cruiser Bros are importing them now. Anyone have experience with either?

 

What do you have to trim when putting the gears in?

 

A few people have IPT and A few have the Ratiotek setup. not sure about WAT.

 

You don’t have to trim anything to install the exhaust cam gears

 

On non race trucks when would you think an oil cooler add on like this would be good to add? I doubt I need it now and need to see how the CSF, 160 stat help first.

 

realized they were talking about the wrap mod but picture was cam gears. =)

 

get c-load. i have e-load and regret it. however, i still get 'em loose wet or dry.

I don't know man. I have E load also, and don't necessarily regret it. The puncture proof factor alone is enough to take the MPG hit and the hard as nails ride. I definitely would not mind lighter tires though.

I just destroy the tires if I get on it though in any weather.
