one tab is gorilla glued, and the other fell out. I’m not sure how this affects keeping your things dry, as I haven’t noticed any substantial moisture under the cover.

the “tabs” can be purchased from Toyota for around $13 dollars. I replaced one side and the other side managed to go (I’m guessing this is a common issue with the cover?)

paid $600 or so at the dealer, looking to get $300 for the cover due to the broken tabs.

Faded can easily be fixed by applying black plastic restoring cleaner on it. I did that a few weeks ago to mine and it looks brand new.

 

When I had mine, I used Mothers Back to Black every two weeks. It's not permanent, but it will keep it black between washes.
