I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times but I can't find the answer to the setup I'm trying to get.

2011 Tacoma 4x4 DCLB with Pelfreybilt Hybrid Bumper (115lbs wlights) Not planning on getting a winch anytime soon.

    5100s w 886 or 887?
    • Does anyone have pictures of their trucks with 887 and front bumper?
    • How much lift did you get?
    • How's the ride?

For this particular lift is this all that required:
    • F/R 5100s with whichever shocks
    • 1/2 top spacer for driver side and 1/4 top spacer for the passenger?
    • No UCA - Planning on using Stock UCA
    • Is a diff drop needed?
    • Extended brake lines need?
    Looking forward to TW feedback!

887 if you don’t have a winch or skid plate.

877s will be fine. You're lighter than a full plate bumper and no winch. I rode 887s for a year with their full plate, full hoop, and winch and skid plates. Both will probably give you the same lift as the heavier spring is shorter than the lighter spring. And the spring rate isn't a HUGE difference.

    EDIT:
Speaking of which, I just remembered I have my 887s to sell if you're local.

Not exactly apples to apples but here is my aluminum + winch which weighs in fairly close to the steel hybrid (with 887):

About to pull the trigger on this lift kit. Does anyone know if I still have to order 1/4 spacer for the tacolean on driver side?

Yes, either that or you can adjust the drivers side up one notch I believe.

    Hey!

I know it’s not OME, but definitely check out the Dobinsons front coils for the Tacomas. We primarily install the Dobinsons kits on the trucks running through the shop and were able to dial in the front ends pretty nicely. On their end, I’d recommend the c59-314 with no winch or c59-352 with a winch. You can also run their coils on the 5100s too.

If you’re not a fan of teal, we can get you the same coil part numbers in black or red as well. I hope this help. Good luck!

I went with the 887 but wish I got some more height from it.
