Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Here are the instructions for downloading and logging in to Techstream. Also would recommend searching "techstream" in this thread and start reading. I did mine last night and took about 3 hours to do everything.

 

I want to say this has been resolved and I can’t find it. P5 flash utility is grayed out and can’t open it. All windows firewall and defender and antivirus is off I’ve double checked and can’t remember what’s next to open flash utility. Thanks.

Yes please! This thing should never operate below 2500 unless it is idling at a stop sign! We need a tune for Prius wannabes and one for truck drivers.

I'm getting some weird slight revving after putting it in reverse or drive after initially starting it up lately. It only seems to do it for 15-20 seconds and then it stabilizes. I've had the tune for 6 or 7 months and I've reflashed 3 or 4 times during that time. I have been using the 1.05 87 octane tune. Do I need to switch to a different tune or do you guys have any ideas what could be causing it to rev like that?

Won't stop a complete idiot from screwing up my truck, but hopefully keeps my wife a d possible family members from making a mistake.

 

are you letting the truck warm up for 20-30 seconds? You can hear the revs kick down about 500-600 after doing this each time you start your truck.

 

Yeah I let it warm up until the revs drop down, then I put it into reverse or drive and it almost always starts revving on its own. It just started doing this recently.
