I just had a toytec front spacer leveling kit installed and I'm wondering if I should get extended bump stops. My concern is that on a hard hit my shock absorber may bottom out before the bump stop makes contact with the lower control arm. The spacer is only 1/2 inch, resulting in an actual lift of around 1 inch. The tech at the shop said that with a lift this small it shouldn't be a problem, but still I like to get multiple opinions.

1of2.jpgThis most likely will happen before you bottom out.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of.

When I put on a small spacer lift I added a few fender washers under the bump stops. Might be an option

1 of 3.jpg That is why people go with 5100's/ 6112's, or other brands (eibach, ,icon, ect). Instead of spacer lifts, much beefier.
You should be ok, unless you plan on wheeling the hell out of it.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
For the price I would just order new bump stops from Wheelers Offroad and call it good.

That’s more than the entire lift cost. :)

Yeah, the closest thing to offroading I do are bumpy dirt roads tbh.

You’ll be fine. Just don’t take it off any sweet jumps

That being said, you might as well be hitting jumps with the way roads are around here in dallas lol.
