Can you really tell a difference in on road handling between the Sport and SR5?

Yes, the sport is tighter, also has 17" tires vs 16" which makes a moderate difference in handling.

I prefer the SR5 and Offroad models because they are softer. I don't need a truck that has good handling.

The sport has a different suspension than the SR5?

Yes. The Sport handling is one of the reasons I wanted a Sport. It really hugs the corners, and I like that. I have been riding motorcycles for a very long time and the handling of the Sport appealed to me more.

    Sport feels more heavy duty.

I personally liked the way my SR5 suspension rode for the most part on road, the back seat was a little jarring while off road when stock.
