What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Appreciate all the feedback fellas, pretty stoked to finally have a camper shell and just wanted to make sure I had all my bases covered

 

Forgot to mention I have 5100's and 885 in the front so I'm slightly lifted there also so the aal in the rear might only appear to sag to me b/c my front is higher also. I can't remember what it looked like before the shell. It may have been that height the whole time.

Wow that is low mileage. And your range is in a cave? That's pretty cool. How do they manage air flow and venting there?

 

That is a sweet truck! Love the stance. Pretty jelly your mileage is that low. I have an 07 and im near 180k. I put 40k on it last year alone lol

 

I have the same lights. Love them. I've had several folks notice the change. Looks awesome!

I often meet people with lots of general ideas and opinions. I very seldom meet someone with an original idea. I meet even fewer people with the drive and/or knowledge to implement an idea!

After 2.5 years I finally got a bed mat, one of my cheapest mods yet. Next mod on schedule is a new head unit being installed in about 2 weeks.

 

I agree... The composite is nice but very slick.

Got my scangauge mount in, just waiting for the scan gauge.. also a rare interior picture. Excuse the mess, I carry alot of crap around on the weekdays. Switch in between lights is for the rear power sliding window. Most everything else is self explanatory

 

I get original ideas all of the time. The problem is when I look to see if someone already invented it they usually have. <---joke

At this time last year I had almost every tool I wanted, including a big air compressor and air tools. This year I don't have any of it. I got a pancake compressor for Christmas and I'm building a cart of sorts to wheel around the compressor, the hose, the cord, and the air tools. It used to be the bottom half off of roll around tool box. It wasn't something I needed, it's just a fun little project is all. It isn't finished yet.

Just about to pull out the overhead console myself and I have a question or two ....here I go

• How difficult is it to remove the sunglass holder from the overhead console?
• How did you locate the drill holes for the new scangauge mount?
• Was the cable long enough to run from the OBD2 port to the mount (6 feet)

 

Pretty difficult. I had to pry some areas open to remove it and ended up snapping one of the pins.. bummer. Its out though! hopefully I wont need it in the future.

For the drill hole locations I used a paint marker, put a nice blob of paint on the allen head and pushed the mount in. The paint transferred to the holes and I drilled from there.

I haven't gotten the scan gauge yet but I imagine the cable length should be sufficient. I will reconfirm once received.

 

Damn! Oh well, never been above Chattanooga going up 75. Gave me a chance to see some more of TN literally lol.

 

That thought crossed my mind as well. I’m gonna see what the bid is from a paint shop and go from there.

 

Usually it only does it in 4 Low, are you absolutely positive you were in 4 High?
