    Are these guys really qualified mechanics or just expert at customizing? Monkey Garage, Diesel Brothers?
    They go give a low ball offer for a classic, then find major issues when they get it to the shop and start tearing in to it. You and I would do better I think.
    Also, the shows on Alaska, some of that stuff just for show?

    The list is long but distinguished
    The reason for the lowball is that they generally do know its going to need a lot of work. The 'surprise' issues are all scripted dramatics. I prefer my automotive shows without the BS drama.

    I've been of the opinion that some of the stuff on the auto shows and Alaska are a little staged or written that way for a little drama, adding a human factor maybe?
