Maybe if I wait long enough they'll just replace it with a Flux Capacitor?

On the other hand, this is one of the things that separates Toyota from the rest of the field - continuous improvement. Toyota continually looks at problems and looks for solutions. If one improvement doesn't work, they'll try something else. Hence, yet another new fix here. When I drove Fords, when they had a problem part, they simply replaced it with a new (same design) problem part. And we all know what that leads to. Now if they'd just do something a little more substantial about frame corrosion.

Did you look at the connector on the Blower Controller in the dash?

you may need to replace the blower itself, a few screws and it drops right out. I had the issue of the fan only running on HI. Replaced the connector and resistor, no luck. Replaced the blower and been running fine for over a year now.

That's starting to sound more and more like a bad blower motor because where the motor armature stops can affect how (and if) it's going to start next time.
