First trip over 35-40 miles a couple of months after a 2 inch lift and 265/75/17 Wildpeaks put on and suddenly I got some rubbing on those tiny front flaps in front of the tires...... and not really at full lock. Not a hint of rubbing there for 2 months.

I can’t resist asking why!? Any ideas? I took them off at first chance and all is fine

This is your trucks way of telling you that Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners took their toll.

As the shocks wear out, they begin to sag. I just put 285s on mine and very little rub was occurring. Fast forward a few weeks after a long trip and a 2 mile dirt road, the icons started leaking. About a week later, my tires are rubbing on almost every turn and worse when going into driveways and such.
My bet is the shock could be refreshed and maybe the springs too.

Ok. It does take a couple of months or about 2k to 5k miles for the new stuff to settle in.

Well, that’s about it I guess. I suppose those little flaps were not of much use anyway

Bumping this thread. Had time to take a look and at full lock I’m rubbing the upper control arm on each side. Is this an issue?

lifts will settle over time, five or take a half inch or so. that could be why you are just recently experiencing rubbing. and the rubbing on the ucas is not a good thing. might want to pick up an aftermarket set.
