Factory alarm

Hi for those of you that have the factory alarm they recently changed my battery & before they changed when I would lock my truck it would beep & making a little honk now it just beeps & doesn’t make the little honk. Any idea what’s missing or anything thanks in advance

Well because anyone can break in & the alarm won’t go off

 

Are you saying it doesn't have a siren?
From your original post I read that you had a piezo audile tone and a horn honk as if to arm/disarm. Or lock/unlock.

I believe your alarm is in valet mode.

Try inserting key into ignition and tuning On (accessory) and off 3 times.

Is there a fuse for the alarm system?

 

I would love it if my truck didn’t honk every time I locked the doors. The beep is enough of an indicator... honk imo is just unnecessary.

Weird that it reverted to no honk after a battery replacement. I’ve had my battery disconnected dozens of times and that has never changed.
