Recall?

Hi all,new to the site,I had some work done on my 2005 Tacoma and my mechanic said my frame was starting to rot,he believes there is a recall but when I went to Toyota website and put in my vin # there was no recall on the frame,any suggestions? I love my Tacoma and it’s only got 140000 on it! Thanx for any info

 

Welcome to TW!. Unfortunately, your '05 is outside the frame replacement window.

 

Welcome to TW! Yeah the window for the 05s has passed, but call your local dealerships and see what they say.

 

And just to be clear, it was not technically a recall.

 

I got a letter in the mail this past week. It is a "warranty enhancement program" affecting 2011 - 2017... I have a 2015 trd sport. Say frame replacement if needed if not then they apply the CRC to the frame. I am just outside of Montreal and well have had my Taco rust-proofed every fall. I will have it inspected anyways see what they say..
