I am new to the 3rd generation and need some wheel and tire info. Yes, I have searched and researched on this site and others. Please don’t banish me...

I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road four door, 4wd. I have ordered this kit (pictures) and need info on my wheel choice backspacing and off-set. I plan on running 285/75/16” tires. I’m thinking I need 4.5” backspacing and -6 off-set??

You will likely need a CMC no matter what to clear 285s

I've only seen 16x8 rims with 4.5" backspacing having 0mm offset. Maybe if the rim is wider the offset changes, but I don't know. I'm running 16x8 method wheels with 4.5" backspacing and 0 offset and I have an OME lift with 887 coils and shocks up front and an AAL in the back, currently with 265/75/r16 tires. The previous poster is probably right, you'll likely need a CMC to fit 285s but 0 offset is probably good for what you're planning nonetheless.

My 2012 Tacoma had an OME 3” lift and 285/75/16’s and it never rubbed. It even had Husky front mud flaps. I can’t remember the measurements on the Wheeler’s Off Road steel wheels though. They no longer sell the wheels either.

Are we talking street driving or Offroading with articulation and wheels turned?
