I kind of like Business Intelligence/Analytics and, if I may be so bold as to say it, I'm pretty good at it, too. I like the visualization side, helping convey data in a meaningful way to fellow decision makers, and I like searching for different bits of data that I can try to correlate to see if there is any causal factors for certain outcomes.

The whip is all of the background work on the technical side. I'm plenty capable, but not sufficiently eager. The queries, the joins, the validation, etc. We have data in SQL tables, Access databases, in SAP raw data formats, in Excel files, in delimited txt files, and in any other format you can imagine. And with the amount of data, the imports are long and laborious, so testing connections takes a while.

    Ugh.

Can't wait to get back out to Maner's shop and melt some more metal :D.

I’m going over to Irving tonight for a TTR meet. I get the other hammered handles ready tomorrow before you get here.
Them waygu briskets have a deep red color with lots of marbling. Gonna watch them close while cooking. I can see where they will break down quicker and dry out.

Sounds weird, but they work better for me when I take them to a higher temp. I'm all about cooking by feel, but the wagyu "feels" done about 185*, but they aren't done at all. Take them to about 202-205* before resting. They're weird, but tasty.

I can do the data thing I’ve been a dev but majority of my career it’s been systems, monitoring, process and procedure.

People who like BA are usually really into it. I just get tired. Give me am f’d server though and I’m in heaven.

Ya part of the reason I do the house renovations is I get to use that other part of me and be creative and at the start destructive. It’s funny though I still use a lot of my deductive reasoning to solve problems in getting a house done. My friend told me not long ago he learned a long time ago not to argue with me when I tell him something we need to do because annoyingly I’m usually right.

You and I might be able to do some damage together ;).

My "data" is not on the technical side, it's the business data - sales, costs, margins, customer count, price elasticity, etc. Teasing info to make decisions out of that data is what I get (under)paid to do.

I'm not always right, but I'm really good at convincing everyone that I am ;).

If that’s true I hope the person is caught and skinned.

As a father I can say without a doubt if someone hurts my child there is no where they can run or hide that I will not find them and make sure they can never hurt another thing. :censored:
