    Hello Everyone.
    A little bit about me:
I'm James my family, (wife of 43+years, 5 kids (buried 2), 11 grandkids, and I live in GA. Dogs rule (the 4 legged kind-well UGA also), cats drool. I'm a ham operator, dabble in GMRS, I enjoy camping/hiking/off roading. I play the guitar, not nearly as often as I would like. I taught 8th grade for 39 years before I retired and I've been driving some sort of Toyota for a very long time. I've been a member of the IH8MUD forum for over a decade. My middle son has a 1971 FJ40; I have a 1986 FJ60; my wife has a 1997 Sienna, and I just purchased a base model 97 Tacoma extended cab.
A little bit about my truck:
A friend at church was the original owner and it sat in his field for about a decade. As expected, it has some issues I'm currently addressing. For instance - I've replaced the alternator, installed new plug wires, and plugs. I've completed several battery checks using a multimeter. The battery is approximately 75% good. I believe the battery light doesn't really monitor the battery or the amount of amps the battery has. My problems is the battery light stays on; it never goes out. Please offer some suggestions to fix this. I drives me crazy to have this thing on.

    Thanks.
