Completely Stock except for Ranch 5000 Shocks and Struts.
Remember this with the Toyota 5VZ-FE 3.4. It is a great little engine as far as power and durability, but it likes gas. The best anybody is going to do with a 3.4 is get anywhere between 16 and 19 miles per gallon. That is all they are capable of doing when it comes to fuel consumption.

You have 32" mud terrains and get 19-20mpg in your 1st gen v6? And you're unhappy with that??

That's about the best you can hope for in a 1st gen. These aren't hybrids...

Having a very similar issue as the OP and after replacing every sensor and filter and extensively watching what little fuel trim information my obdII port provides I think it might be a leaky injector that doesn’t seal properly. I get perfect running conditions and it seems to run great at all speeds and idols fine but the long term fuel trim is -11 whenever I’m off the gas. Apply gas and it goes within -5%+1.5 so that would explain a bad City mileage but a normal highway mileage with a rich condition. Anyone want to weigh in before I shell out for injectors?

I had all injectors replaced last summer, and my MPG didn't change one bit. That with new coil packs, plugs, wires and Oil change. NADA, ZIP. Of course I'm averaging 17.1.

How much of that is highway? I’m getting 11-13 City 18-20 highway.

Where I live, mostly HWY. As far as fuel trims, who knows, never checked.
