One of the selling points of FF/WW for me was not having to wash the car during the winter months. I could go with my natural DGAF instinct when it comes to washing cars. As stuff will just sit on top of the FF/WW.

I did a test run with my little 6-gallon Porter & Cable pancake compressor. Which did not work so well as I only got 5 seconds of spray, then a minute of compressor re-charge. Needless to say, I wanted to wash that first effort off before my official coating using a gas powered compressor rental. Coating did not come off when using low pressure rinse at the car wash bay. But did come off when using high pressure soap spray. But I had to have the wand 6" or closer to blast it off.

so you are going to spray all over various body panel parts and never wash the truck?

so far i can get 100psi air pointed right at this CF 3000 at close to 6" and it does not blow off, it just creeps and slithers around like a magnet, pretty cool stuff!
i am waiting for some good slop build up to try it out at the wand wash
black trucks look icky in the winter with salty grimy roadspray all over the panels
this is the 1st winter attempting this sort of stuff so its a wait and see how it goes

I spray FF all over the frame, bumpers, suspension parts, bolts and nuts, brackets, and basically everything that is not well painted metal. Then if I wash the truck in the winter I wash the body (from top and sides) and never bother putting a wand under the body. So all that winter crap I left alone to be stuck to the outside layer of FF.

When the winter is over (or should I say in the middle of the summer on the hot day) I put hot water with soap on pressure washer and clean the crap out of the bottom of the truck washing off all mud, salt and year old fluid film. Then after all water dries out I lay the fresh layer of FF again. So far so good - three winters past and my California frame looks still like California frame :fingerscrossed:
