    Can't bear to part with my 2005, just 349K miles, 4WD, 5 speed manual, 4 cylinder, just can't justify a 2020 Limited.

If I could go back in time, I may not buy it again. Why:

They added all this extra shit to get better gas mileage (double injectors, double fuel pumps, shitty transmission mapping, otto/atkinsson cycle) to get the same gas mileage as my 2015 RAM 5.7 Hemi and my 2017 Challenger Scat Pack 6.4 pushrod with 485 hp. So basically I find it idiotic they added so much complexity and made it perform poorly at times for no gain. Toyota can't get 17mpg out of a normal v6 but DODGE can get 17mpg out of two different v8s???

At the end of the day I bought it for reliability and resale so I assume Im good on those two, but it does stick in my craw every time the engine feels like a 90 yr old on COPD because of all the complexity.

I've never owned a Tacoma before but I've always heard how great they are. I bought one back in September and I love it and hate it.
Driving at a steady speed below 55, I feel a shudder from the transmission. It drives me crazy. I took it to the dealer within the first 3 days to advise. They had it for a week saying that they couldn't replicate the issue and drive it for 5k. I just passed and it has gotten better or I'm just not noticing it as much but there are times where I feel it more and more.
I wanted to wait until the 2020 version to get more of the technology upgrades but I couldn't pass up the price. I've always been a F150 owner and giving up my 6 cylinder twin turbo going to the tacoma is a big difference however I love the look and such. I just wish the transmission issues would pass. I've read many rants about this.
    Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

i averaged 14 years on trucks till I bought an 18 TRD, traded it for a 19 after 14 months and 28000 miles. I’m near retirement, my finance advisor tells me I have enough money and assets to get to to 93 years old. I figure even if I make it till 80 the highlight of my day will be the sponge bath I get when they change my diaper in the nursing home. Might as well enjoy some of the money now.

Before you move onto a full-size because of seat comfort....

I enjoy it, not having any issues with power, fuel mileage ect like some think.

I like my 19. I didnt conjure up any false notions of it being anything more than a mid size truck. There is nothing magical about Toyota. I drove my previous vehicle i didnt like for 3 years so once i got in a financial position to get what i wanted i started looking at trucks.

I've had 2 Tacomas and they both sucked as far as comfort goes. The first, a 1999 Extended Cab was far worst than my current 2019. I'm 5'11" and the seat risers from EasyDoesIt made an enormous difference but it's still a long ways from my previous ride, a Lexus. If I live long enough to buy another truck it will be a full size. Love the Taco but hate the seating ergonomics.

I just drove and ordered a 2020 limited. The power seats are GREAT, maybe find one in a junkyard and upgrade.
