Gas Mileage Inaccuracy

Simple math says 13.1G x 20 miles = 262 miles. You don't need an app to figure it out.

 

By that logic it could also have been alcohol induced. I know which one I picked

 

I have a feeling the app is set to Km per Imperial Gallon.

 

.62 km per mile

1.2 us gallons per imperial gallons.

28km/imp gal

28 x 1.2 x .62 = 20.8 m/us gal

Mine varies by maybe .5 MPG when comparing the avg mpg on scanguage during a trip to actual. I verified the odometer by using a GPS speedometer application. Manual calculations range from 21 to 21.5 MPG at 70 MPH using cruise. Outer tire diameter is 30.06. Engine 3.4L.
