i am aware of the plug and play Subaru tweeters that multiple members have swapped for their dash tweeters. I am in the process of replacing everything and i am aware that the tweeters and front door speakers a 2 ohms each which creates a 4 ohm load for the amp. I am looking at numerous brands of door speakers and almost no one makes below a 4 ohm door speaker. i really don't want to install a 4 ohm door speaker and a 2 ohm tweeter. has anyone purchased a component set with the typical round tweeter and used a palate similar to the one show below install in the stock tweeter location. i dont want to install the tweeter in the sail panel, i'd like it to be inside of the stock location. thanks.

Before I installed the tweeters in the sail panel I used an adapter plate (taco tunes version) just as you are describing. It worked fine.

I bought the Metra plates when I did my upgrade and would not do it again. I ended up dumping them and using the stock speaker frame to make my own adapter. I just used a dremel to cut out the center of the speaker and mounted the replacement Kicker Tweeter into it.

    WAY BETTER solution.

I have a 2019. I used the same tweeter adapters you posted, bought on Amazon. I installed Morel ultra tempo 602’s with the ********* tweeter harness. The tweeter adapters fit perfectly and the tweeters line up with the dash covers.
