Hi guys, am I missing something here or did the dealer give me the wrong cord for my block heater? This is a 2017, I'm assuming factory installed block heater. (i bought it used a few months ago), and the dealer gave me this cord because for some reason the truck didn't get traded in with it.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to plug this in. The round portion on the cord is too large to plug in no matter which way I spin it.
Is there some sort of insert in the plug that gets removed, or is this the wrong cord?

Some - Will list later - has lift and new wheels and rubber
That is really odd - the cord looks like the one I recieved from Toyota with my 2019 Taco but your recepical on you truck is different than the one I have - Think you need to head to your local dealer and find out what is going on.

We've seen this before, there are different versions and you have a mix matched pair.

Visit the dealer to address this.

Have a question around the plug. Anyone make an adapter without the cord. Would prefer to just add one to the end of my extension cord

Having a small adapter in my glove compartment instead of a 10' extension cord would be kinda nice

If someone knows the model # of the female plug end of the cord that goes into the truck receptacle so I can order it that would also work for me.

    Thanks
