Not exactly. I've had to change batteries in both the wife's remote (different brand from mine) and my own and they like to have little corners chip and break and I had to solder the little speaker on mine cause the original solder broke. The remotes seem to appear to be made to break so they can sell you a new one. Some manufacturers are probably better than others and I still have a spare remote for both vehicles.

Everything works on the remotes but mine can be intermittent sometimes unless I squeeze it a certain way lol.

I have a Compustar remote start/alarm in my '13 that's a 5-speed. I started with their "Prime 901" remote kit, but 2 days ago upgraded to the Pro T12 remote. Only upgraded because I broke my remote lol.

There's no sequence needed to get the truck into reservation mode. I simply park, put the truck in neutral, put the parking brake on, and get out as I normally would. The truck stays running for about 5 seconds after I get out and shut the door. The Compustar is definitely the way to go over a Viper system when it comes to manual trans.

I did, but I also worked at BestBuy as an installer. So I also got the remote start at a steal.

I had posted about it somewhere, let me do some digging because I have the Directechs wiring manual for our vehicles.

Awesome, thanks! So here's what I was planning on buying:
    FT-7200S-CONT module
    Prime R3 one-button one-way remote
FT-DAS sensor for the manual bypass

Do I need to buy both the FT-DAS and the BLADE add-ons or just the FT-DAS with the one-button one-way remote? Anything else I may need?

You would need both the COM-BLADE-TB as well as the FT-DAS. The BLADE is for overriding the factory immobilizer (assuming you're not a Base model), and the DAS is the sensor required for manual transmissions.
I've attached the BLADE instructions here as well. It's really the last page you need. You simply slide the blade in, then program it with your key.

Also, just throwing it out there- having a 1 button fob is pretty annoying in my opinion. Especially if you have the factory fob.
I'd spend the little extra and just get a 4-button remote and ditch your factory fob. It's worth it.

BestBuy has the 2-way CSX with DroneMobile (Start from your phone) "installed" for $299. The only additional price you'd incur is the cost of the BLADE and the DAS.
Might be worth looking into, since you don't HAVE to use DroneMobile once the 30-day trial is up, but you get a nice 2-way remote and a MUCH better range.

I have an aftermarket Volkswagen flip key with the lock and unlock buttons on it, so I only need the start button. I also don't want to be able to start it too far away, it'll just be from inside my house or at work for the most part. But when the factory one breaks if I want to upgrade I can do it then, right?

Also i'm trying to figure out if Best Buy will install this on a manual or not. If so, is there still a warranty? It might be worth the extra cost from looking at those pages you linked.

EDIT: Looks like Best Buy will install it for me but they're 4+ weeks out. Full warranty and the cost is included in the price.
