    Hey all,
Im getting set to switch out timing belt et al. and have a concern regarding slight play in the newly acquired idler roller(NSK) and, more so, the tension roller(Koyo) bearings. It's a slight rock in the bearing. Should these things be tight as a drum, no play? Thanks for your time.

Mine were tight from a rocking perspective for sure; definitely no play that way. Of course, they spun easily, as good bearings should.

I don't really talk about the condition of the new parts, but here is my write-up of the timing belt work that @drr and I did on our trucks together. Does list all the parts we used, and where we got them (from aircabinman on ebay).

If you think they are bad send them back.

Poor quality things do slip past maybe to long since the last inspector was shot!!
