Entune is embarrassingly bad...

Am I crazy? This whole app and it's "integrations" are just laughable. Almost deleted this before posting because I don't have much of a point here just venting. But man. Ew.

 

This is why I've always preferred aftermarket audio equipment!

 

I don’t have a problem with it. Then again I came from a car that had one of the old radios with physical buttons and knobs and only 6 channel presets

 

What buttons? My screen is always black but plays music. I can adjust what music using the steering wheel buttons

 

You'll get a ton of people that will make excuses for it and claim it's not bad because <insert some excuse>...but it's terrible.

 

If its any way related to the one in the rav4 rental I had this week...I concur.

Correct. It and the native audio/antennas are the only thing about my Tacoma I actually hate. My dealer, whom I’ve worked with for 30 years and 7 family Toyota’s openly agreed. I wish they offered a no radio option and just started over.

 

The Rav has the better version and It sucks

Let me be clear. I wish my truck was available with no Toyota supplied radio. They all suck.

 

I have a buddy with a rav limited and it seems decent. But the rental-grade one was hot garbage. I would prefer the 1/8" aux jack I had my last penske rental truck.

 

I will second this. I will add on that the only thing I use are 2 screens of preset stations and bluetooth.

 

Nice post. The Penske was 9.9 touch. A 10 would have been a uhaul comparison.

 

The new audio systems in the 2020 with Apple CarPlay are definitely a big upgrade!

 

It pisses me off the high def radio antenna can’t hold a signal as it is the best (bandwidth/uncompressed) source but the stupid shark fin the BMW marketing for looks engineers chose defeats the technology.

 

Bring back cassettes.

 

I should note that I think putting a screen on the dash is idiotic, so the simple Ford base-model stereo with an AUX button and an aux jack was refreshing.
