    Has anyone swapped out a 5vz-fe from an automatic transmission vehicle into a manual transmission vehicle. Are the blocks the same universally. Or are they cast specifically for the transmission type

    Same engine. You have to retain the flex plate or flywheel/pilot bearing to which ever transmission you're using.
