PIT BOSS 76340 Pellet Grill Hopper Extension, Black came today. It does fit

    pit boss pellet extension.jpg

I need to cut a piece of lumber to put under the first hopper to support the extra weight yet. And not quite sure how I am going to seal it. Friction fit and it drops in snugly. But I could see water running down the outside and working its way into the lower hopper. Mods. More mods :rofl:Probably just grab some duct putty (AKA Monkey Shit) and seal the seams where the 2 join. Tape would be just too tacky. Or not.

Will be nice not filling this thing every hour! Which reminds me time to go heat up the left over ribs for supper tonight.

Yeah and have lots of foil tape around here. But want to try and match the metal a bit better with darker tape. And of course have gorilla tape. And duct tape. Plus lots of other types of tape LOL. Thinking maybe dark butyl tape. I have some RV seam seal tape but it is white. Damn getting picky as I get older! Snow just started. Again. Then temps going down in the crapper for a week or 2 so probably just look at it for awhile from inside :pout:

Wait it is a pellet pooper... I can just plug it in and set it and forget it ;) But with the Thermoworks Smoke set with an alarm just in case fires go out again. Or can do a smoke & reverse sear on a steak this week too. Thanks for the heads up on this thing, I like it a lot!

What in tarnation, I forgot to post any pics of my Sunday pooper action. It’s nothing major, just the usual weeks fodder.

Just a couple cans of Spam (of course) half dozen boneless, skinless yard bird thighs, bacon stuffed pork loin.

Buffalo beans, I’m starting to really like these. I actually ate nothing but them for a meal the last time I did them.

And a pan of biscuits for the Spam all week for breakfast.

Check the radiant heat from the lid area and make sure it won't melt the tape when it's on high.

High temp rtv sealant use some painters tape around the whole thing first to tape off a nice clean line top and bottom. Apply sealant then remove tape to make a nice line let dry and you’re good to go. :)
