    oh yeah, I had that problem too, when I took snorkel off there was water and ice inside :(

    pre-filter is your solution

    just rotate the head of the snorkel to point backwards :anonymous:
    that solves the problem of snow and rain from getting in

    The really coarse filter material (Black) used for big aquariums and ponds works really good.

    Just have to keep an eye on it after freezing rain.

    One of those military caps (mushroom cap) for the top,

    +5 Overland points for one of those, plus the real functionality of it. Instead of having a snow funnel. :)

    You don't necessarily need another filter, just something that points down. Replace the inlet with a silicone coupler:

    It's a spray can. Silicone is also available as a grease, which would be too thick for this application.

    They all eventually leak. Mine lasted 3 years and I got the cap instead.

    I'd suggest checking air box for water.


    As Eugene said above pre filter is best bet.

    Fyi you are supposed to turn Ram heads around during snow and there is a certain speed to keep under or you'd rob the engine of air.

    Don't remember what the speed is I feel like it might be 80km?

    But anyways just something to consider.

    Never had an issue but I have pre filter. Partially for that reason

    Nah, no point in getting front yet since theres a different carrier size for 4.88 gears and i plan on re gearing in the future


    Ironically Im not on 35’s and yet theres no pictures of my truck getting winched by a jeep :luvya:
