    Hi All

    Just joined the forum last night.

    My name is Barry and I reside in Arizona. I do not own a Tacoma yet (never owned a truck), but I'm in the market for one in the next few months as a Daily Driver and occasional desert rock climber. Also need something to haul stuff back from Lowes\Home Depot.

    I do a lot of my own car work (Currently on a modded 2011 GT500 street/track car) and a '75 Corvette. I feel like a Tacoma is a great fit to add to the collection.

    I'll be hanging out and mostly staying quiet until I pull the trigger on a new ride. Then I will have lots of question.

    Looking forward to the new adventure!

    I had similar criteria as you described.
    My Tacoma plays two roles; I use it for work, and I use it for everything else. After weighing in mechanical specs of mid-size trucks between a Colorado, Frontier, and Tacoma. I went with what to me would look the best in an ITEOTWAWKI movie with the vehicle all rigged for adventure. The other trucks in my considerations I imagined would look too much like a laborer/construction worker vehicle no matter the modifications to make it an adventure-truck...:mudding:..

    Probably Gen 2, unless I can get a great deal on a Gen 3. V6-Auto, crew cab with 5-foot bed is preferred. Not super picky on the milage. Pretty open to color options, but prefer Blue, Silver or Orange.

    Some mild off road mods would be great...Suspension and skid plates.
