I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD OR package 4x4 with a "big" bed and lockers front and rear.

It now has a brand new frame so I decided to keep it.

I'm currently collecting parts to put a mid travel setup in it. The stock suspension is beat.

I decided to go with ADS for coilovers since they seem to be the gold standard.

After ordering direct from their company and paying a premium to do so, it's been over a month with no coilovers. Is that normal for a un-customized off the shelf part from them?

Welcome aboard. A month seems too long IMO. If you received purchase confirmation but no shipping notification or tracking number check back with seller for updates.

    Thanks Black Dog Lila.

    I did 11 days ago.

They said they were currently working on them and they'd be done soon.

I'm just gonna vent about that ordeal for a minute, while daydreaming about watching that dealership being swallowed by a sinkhole.

So skip the rest of this post or read it and sigh while nodding your head in agreement because it happens all the time.

Getting the frame replaced was the worst automotive experience I have ever had, including jiffylube not putting oil back in my corvette when they changed it. I do all my own maintenance and repairs, but didn't have a garage at that moment.

Are all the toyota stealerships this BAD?

I waited as long as I could because I knew about the frame supply issues and wanted in and out as quick as possible.

They started by keeping my TRD OR on 265 MT's truck that I need to get work done, you know, off road. Told me that they wouldn't do the frame unless they had possession of the truck from day one. Not too surprising, but I could have easily dropped it back off when they had a frame and were ready.

I asked for an in-kind loaner 4x4 truck with a hitch. Even told them they could swap my tires onto it because I need something that can pull a vehicle out of the mud or snow and haul firewood out of the woods. The worst condition 4x4 truck in their inventory would be fine. They gave me a Chevy Aveo. After arguing with them for a couple weeks to get a truck and them telling me that they can't spend that much on a rental and there was no way Toyota would supply a loaner truck... I got a call to pick up a chevy colorado doublecab with a 4.5'? bed and one wheel drive. They were very adamant about telling me there would be hell to pay if it ever went off the pavement or if the bed has a scratch in it. So that's useless for anything.

I drove by and looked longingly at my truck in the back of their lot seemingly forever.

After 8 months!!!! They gave me back my truck with 2 seized front calipers, a transmission that wouldn't shift out of first gear, 6 cross threaded/loose/or missing bed bolts, a ruined year old battery, rear locker that didn't work, broken tail light, among other things.

Almost every wiring harness clip was broken off, and there's something else that I find they messed up every time I'm under it. Then they told me that was the way it was dropped off and they had a $6000 estimate already written up and ready for me if I wanted my truck to be safe. There's more that I'm forgetting, I'm sure.

Turns out they never started it or moved it.

When I told them that I most certainly didn't drive there in first gear, their response was that I definitely did and I should have seen the tach at redline and known something was wrong.

So, to answer your question: No they didn't replace them. They did put new A arms on though. I'll be pulling them, pressing in new bushings and welding them up shortly.

    mmmmm... Sinkhole

Hopefully someone gets a chuckle from my misfortune.
