The big question is your budget. I would avoid the spacers and look at a full kit (Bilstein 5100 or ARB OME). With a 2015, you will most likely need either an AAL or a complete new leaf pack, for the rear. Stock pack is not the best. Check out Headstrong or several other Vendors for options and research here on TW.

I've been lurking, learning, and prepping to upgrade my 2018TRDOR and found this video in relation to UCA's after reading/watching other information on alignment issues, serviceability, and longevity. This is a detailed technical video with cutaways on the different ball joint and bushing designs. And I was about to go down the wrong path before watching this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4A3QGLEpTQ

    On a third get has anyone tried a 33x10.50 vs a 285/75?
It's a tad taller but narrower. Talked to Marie today and I'll be ordering lift and tires in a week or two

    Ok.
If $$$ wasn't an issue and you wanted to lift a 2020 Tacoma Long Bed just short of doing a cab chop, what kind of suspension would you install? King, Icon, Toytec, BDS … ???

35" tires are not a part of the plan.
33" max … but chances are, that would lead to a chop. Hence, the question.

Give me the entire scoop because I respect you guys experience & opinions.

So..I'm one of those people who own a 2019 TRD PRO who want to lift it and swap the wheels/tires. Can I get some advice from other PRO owners who done the same? I posted this before in the 3rd gen forum but no one really gave me helpful advice.

    Not much stock left.
The usual response would be - why buy a Pro, if you’re going to change the suspension?

You can always change the wheels and tires, but you really can’t lift it beyond just adding a leveling kit or maybe a new leaf pack.

You can safely put a 265/75/16 on their without doing a CMC, assuming you don’t want to go down that path.

Their a few build threads on here with members that have modded their Pros without changing the suspension, but they eventually cave.

I installed a lift kit on my 2013 AC TRD OR 4x4 about 1.5 years ago consisting of OME 884s, HS 3 leaf progressive AAL and 5100s all around. The front 5100s are set at zero and the 884s are said to lift 2.25". However I only noticed a 1.75" lift on the front a little while after install.
Since the install I've acquired the LEAN on the driver's front. I will install the 1/4" spacer one of these days. All other measurements have remained the same over the 1.5 years.
I will be installing a streamline bumper (about 70lbs) and a Smittybilt X2O synthetic rope (shipping label says 55lbs, website shows 67lbs).
How do I achieve a 2" lift at the front without revamping the whole setup? What springs do I need for the ride to remain the same and get a true 2" lift?

I have a confusing question. I am a noob so bare with me. I have a 2008 tacoma. My front left ball joint needs to be replaced. Bottom line is unless i have a machine press, toyota only sells replacement with a complete uca attached as well which is about $400 plus labor. I plan to lift the tacoma 3”. I also plan to get spc ucas at which time i can also replace the ball joint.
My question: since i need to replace the ball joint and the spc ucas will cost just about the same as ONE stock one, should/can i just replace the ucas and the ball joint and do the rest of the lift later? Or should i just wait to do the ucas when i do the whole lift?

The UCA being in place can make a lift slightly difficult (but still possible) so I'd advise to just wait when you're doing the lift and replace the UCA then.

Anyone know if i'll have problems with alignment and trying to get to stock alignment with a 4" BDS lift kit for a 2WD tacoma?
Or will I have to get control arms? or other parts that will further adjust the suspension for alignment?

I really want to be able to lift my 3rd gen tacoma with the 4" lift kit and I would like to be able to get alignment near spec.

Have you looked into a 4” spindle lift? That keeps stock geometry for everything. Your ride will remain the same as stock as well. With 4” spindle lift you will get extended brake lines for the front. Alignment will be to spec with use of all oem parts.

I am a new Taco owner and love this site almost as much as my rig. Like many here I have been looking for info on suspension and lift so I emailed Bilstein and asked what is the recommended springs/coil combination with the 5100...see below

    Important question here,
First I wanted some feedback on an 3in rough country lift & was wondering if it’d be a good idea to get it installed?
Also, I am currently sitting on 265x75x16 tires , should I keep those on for temporary use until I get my 33x12.50x20 later ..

I can’t talk about the Rough Country lift but I can say that I ran my 265s for a couple of months until I got 285s. I have a 4” lift and the tires were fine on it. Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

Sorry mine is a spindle lift. It’s a Prerunner. My nephew just put a 4” Toltec on his ‘11. The one he got kept all the geometry on the front suspension as stock. The ride is awesome. He has 5100 Bilsteins set to 2”. He loves the way it rides.

265/75/16 tires only everything else stock.
You’ll loose full articulation unless you do major chopping. 265/75/16 is really the biggest tire you can go lift or no lift without having to chop anything.
