Hey guys. I was browsing around and see the 2019 C-HR radio looks the same as 2020 Tacoma radio unit. You can find a used one for around $300. I was wondering if it will fit into 3rd gen Tacoma and if it's plug n play

    That's cr-v bro. Toyota made a better cr-v called c-hr.

OP try it out and let us know. I doubt anyone has tried that mod here.

I dunno about better, but I’d gladly take a CRV over the C-HR. They aren’t even in the same class, but the C-HR has:
    Mediocre MPG
    FWD only
    Poor visibility
    Odd design
    Poor rear door handle design

Got one as a rental for a few weeks and wasn’t impressed. Weird vehicle in Toyota’s lineup. But to each their own.

Baby suvs are taking over. Those and crossovers. Snowflakes love them.

Yup. They outsell every other vehicle market in the country. Hell toyota and Honda are now producing AWD crossovers like the CRV and RAV4 that are easily topping 40mpg. For a future vehicle years down the road, sign me up.

OP: hard to say. Maybe work with a local parts department with your concern. If it doesn’t fit and they don’t have an outrageous restocking fee, you may come out unscathed, or with a new head unit.

They all feel so cheap and plasticky too. I often get them as rentals (not by choice), and every single one of them has been completely forgettable.

I feel like the CHR almost isn't an SUV or even a crossover. It's basically a FWD hatchback.
