maybe it's just the photo but that looks like overmold, not a tear. Anyways, they look non-serviceable.

Almost looks like they were torqued down when hanging in the air being installed and then lowered causing the bushings to twist and rear after a while.

    Have you tried the dealership?

oh dang, if its under warranty have them replace it for free and make them give you the old one to get rebuilt as a spare on the side. If they are making you pay for it, force them to have it rebuilt.

By chance have you inquired about replacing the shocks at the dealership. I have 50k and like the ride and capability of the stock fox shocks. I just haven’t heard of the price to replace.

What's the PN, I might be able to source it.

BUT you have high miles for rebuildable shocks and should have them serviced. Shocks do not last forever and the oil is used up by the time you hit 40K usually.

$5 part and most certainly replaceable. Take the metal part out, pop out the bushing, put soapy water on the new one, pop it in and put the metal spacer back in.

Hey there, I wanted to follow up on this. Having a slight clicking noise also coming from the driver side as well on mine. I'm at 54K an offroad pretty hard too. The faster and harder the front suspension hits the noise is more noticeable. I havent taken mine off yet but looking at it from the top I can see some of the bushing slightly distorted so when I finally remove it I speculate it will look a lot like yours. Did you try any of the bushing suggested here? If so any luck? Thanks.

Use a ball joint press to take out the bushing. Done it many times to other shocks

Thanks @ahkouchi. I can replace it no problem, my dilema is making sure I’m buying the correct bushing.

Ya man I wish I could help u find it. Just keep bugging fox maybe? But as others said, getting a rebuildable shock rebuilt isn't a bad idea at your mileage especially if you may or may not have off roaded them

Odds are bushing is shot. Had the same problem on 5100s. The rubber just goes after a while. Depending on the shock u could replace them or just get new shocks. If you're stock, 5100 is a good cost effective shock. I switched to elka and they don't have a lower bushing, its just a solid tube to mount. No more clicking noise
