At least that has a locker, the sport is purely for looking pretty. But I agree an off road pre is as stupid as it gets.

best two option is an off road 4x4 or sr4 4x4.

I don’t believe the off-road bilstein is much of an improvement off road. While driving up a drive way or speed bump then maybe a little.

Lol, why would you put any sticker on your truck? One of the first things a did was de-badge totally!

This question reminds me of a conversation I had over a decade ago with a fellow Tacoma owner.

We we're in a parking lot talking about our trucks and I said mine was a TRD Sport, he right away replied "then why did you take the stickers off, people won't it's a TRD Sport". I replied, "if a person needs a sticker to tell what my truck is, thier ignorant opinion doesn't mean a f to me, lol!"

The funny thing is, as we we're talking, a 2011 SC Base SR5 pulled and parked next to you us. It had a TRD Sport bed sticker. The guy I was talking to just said.... "I totally get what your saying now!"

In other words.... If you know what you have... Others do to! So de-badge your truck! If you purposely badge a nice non-TRD you are a clown and provide smiles for all of us. Thanks! :). LOL

I can see both sides of it honestly, even from the perspective that Toyota itself is in a way making a false claim.
Stickers and springs do not a racing machine make.
It's the same truck underneath it all with different options. Some for looks, some to increase it's capabilities but none of them mean a thing on a dragstrip, an oval, or even in rally racing.
To me it's always come down to what the owner thinks looks good and works for them. Unless you leave it bone stock, none of our trucks are exactly the same. We customize it to suit our needs. Mine started as an SR5, but I have changed a ton of stuff from OEM and vastly increased it's abilities over stock. So it's not truly an SR5 anymore.
This is why I don't get upset about rebadging them.

Hey Rob, maybe you need to get SR 5.75 or maybe SR 6 stickers, just so you stay honest.

Do your own thing. DO what makes you happy. Sticker it, lift it, wheel/tire the hell out of it. WGAF what some parking lot Taco 'spotter' expert thinks? It's your truck, no? Tell 'em to take an aeronautical intercourse at a rolling piece of pastry....& have a good day too, btw.
I'm happy with a Plain Jane, sticker-less, base.

I haven't had enough coffee yet to decode "aeronautical intercourse at a rolling piece of pastry" but it's definitely a head twister.

Now a TR5 decal would be awesome. Confuse some, make some giggle, have the same 'look' that you are going for, and definitely be unique !

Like others have said, your truck you decide... Disclosure, I bought a TypeR badge for a co-worker with a stick up his ass for his Prius to piss him off. He thought it was hilarious and meticulously stuck it on the hatch.

difference is you're not repping your truck as a pro. That particular grill just looks better than stock and reps the company, not the model.

Well said. I'm not debadging, (except for the front grill, which is replaced and badge-less, but i'm not going to put "horsepower adding" stickers on either. I doubt i'll do any sticker, sr5 or otherwise. Better to be an excellent sr5 than an sr5 pretending to be more than it is.
