It is an ARE V Series cap with Windoors on both sides and front sliding window that folds down for cleaning.

We pull a No-Bo 16.7 About 3200 lbs. Pulls really well, but we haven't really traveled more than about a 2 hour drive. We did upgrade the truck a few months ago

Rockwood Roo 19S Hybrid, 4400GVW for us. Hopkins Insight brake controller, 10,000lb wd hitch, 25'2" unfolded with 2 queen beds. Seems fairly simple to pull for me, but I drive for a living. I do plan to upgrade my mirrors as I am not a fan of the blind spots but I have found some tow mirrors specifically for the Tacoma on Amazon.

Which ones did you find that are specifically for the Tacomas? I got these and they work pretty well.

Ah those are 2nd gen only. Still pretty cool though that they make the direct bolt-on replacement with power and heated even! Hopefully they'll do something like that for the 3rd gen eventually after it has a few more years on it and there is enough vehicles out there for manufacturers to justify it. At least so far I haven't come across any that are available.

I pull these for a living, so being able to eliminate blind spots is important to me.

sorry for the delay, I'm not on here too often. I do have a tekonsha p3.

I removed the little cubby to the left of the steering wheel and cut a hole in the back large enough for the 3031-P wiring harness. Then I shoved the brake controller in the cubby and put everything back. its a tight fit and it work pretty good.

I was going to take pictures of the process but then I realized how much dog hair was in my truck so I decided against it.
I pretty much copied this guys work

Also because they make a Toyota plate so you can mount it where you have a blank spot. Makes for a clean install.

I recommend it because I use it, and it's half the price of the P3. Up to 5 axles controlled, and a snap to install. The display is where I wanted it, and it's not hidden under the dash.

Went to the RV show in Tampa today in search of a toy hauler around 4 to 5k pounds with plans to make my Tacoma V6 MT w/ tow package pull it...came across this product and wanted to get your take on it. Here's the site and the photos I took at the show:

Forgot to mention the salesman really briefed it well...said it will give a Tacoma nearly the same towing capacity as a Tundra in regard to suspension without stiffening up your ride..of course the tranny and engine are another story but I'm trying to resolve suspension issues first...

Payload is not really the problem. My Tacoma had higher payload than my Tundra does. Its HP, torque, and weight to control the load. I'd be skeptical of the salesman for that comment. jMO.

And this will not increase payload, in case there was any question.
