I removed the oil pan of my 12 Tacoma 2.7 auto trans and replaced the filter and put the pan back on. I put a bucket marked in quarts to catch the fluid. I caught most of it and it was 5.5 quarts. I replaced the pan after cleaning and put in 5.5 quarts of ATF WS fluid. The fluid was good on the cold mark but how long do you have to drive the truck to check it when hot? Not sure if a few miles or more is needed.

Tuff to say. You need to put the trans in temp check mode or via Bluetooth reader. What I found interesting when I changed my fluid during the summer my pan temp reading was already at 97 degrees. So I didn’t have to put it through the temp check mode just fill it till the fluid came out.

If you have a 2.7L (4cyl), then you have a transmission dip stick to check the trans fluid, 4.0L (6cyl) don't have the transmission dip stick

Also, I don't believe the 4cyl. trans calls for WS fluid, I believe it's Toyota type 4 trans fluid for the 4cyl.
