No, it was in good shape except some dents in the bed on the side you see. I can't figure out how that much damage happened yet the mirror is ok?

 

Idk when I flopped Frank the mirror was fine somehow. Same with Zane if I remember right.

totally depends how and what you rolled over when it happened. So many variables haha

I had the opportunity to get out and play in the snow last weekend with my friend Mark. Only got stuck once.

Bought a new set of screw drivers. Need them to take apart and clean my IAC valve.

 

Does anybody know if I replace this PCV do I also need a new grommet for it?




Also, kind of annoyed at my IAC valve. I took everything apart and cleaned it and seem to have made it worse. If anything the idle is even higher than it was.

Admittedly, it was dirty. A lot of carbon build up. And electrically, the servo mechanisn does work because I could hear it when I applied voltage to it. But unfortunately, the little door does not open and close like its supposed to. I cleaned it as good as I could but that little door does not move after cleaning.

 

You don't necessarily need to replace the grommet, but if you've never done it, it's probably a good idea to do so. They can get really stiff and dry rotted and make changing the PCV a pain.

Also - if you end up needing any intake parts let me know. I have a a whole intake sitting on the shelf.

 

Thanks for the offer. A new AIC is pricey but might be worth it. Does yours have 300K on it?

I think the grommet has been replaced once but I'm not sure. I cant remember if it was done when we did the valve cover gasket. I have not tracked down the toyota part number for the grommet yet but saw that Autozone and Orielly's carry something that will work.

The MAF's been cleanned and the computer reset, It is possible the ECU is playing a role, but I could also visually see when I applied voltage to it when it was apart that the little door did not appear to be moving like it did in timmy's video.

 

get a new grommet for sure. Mine always just fall apart.
