    I just thought I'd post the good deal for others. I did buy a couple of them for my brokeass friends.

    That's from used oil analysis I used to have the engines broken down and rated. Cheap stuff generally leaves more deposits and sludge in your engine. That said most of our engines tolerate a lot of crap so no big deal. However if you remember the sludgy camry engine a few years back. Oil is different and uses different additives.

    I’ll highly disagree with that. Blackstone Laboratories is one of the worst oil analysis labs around lol. I’m not going to get into a pissing match with you over passenger car motor oil because you know absolutely nothing about oil or anyone for that matter on this site. I’ve seen so much disinformation on this site about oil it boggles my brain but take it from someone whose in the lubricants industry, as long as you’re using a name brand oil, there’s not a very much big difference between the super majors (mobil, Shell, chevron) to some of better known names (royal purple and etc.) but without a doubt anything outside that is highly suspect. Passenger car motor oil is one of the most competitive industries in the entire world, if not the most. Mobil, Shell, Chevron spend billions of dollars on the research that goes into the product. Not to mention they work with the OEM on designing the fluid to match the application.

    At ease soldier, I never said all oil is the same... just that people are blowing it the hell out of proportion. Even Supertech oil is certified to a bunch of different standards. Drive like a normal person and change the oil on time and your engine will live a happy full life. It's when you start pushing the limits, that more expensive oils may have slight advantages, but will the average driver benefit from them? Probably not.

    Lets not forget, a lot of these companies pour a ton of money into marketing. Just because something sounds cool and fancy doesn't mean you will actually benefit from it.

    So what's your take on the Kirkland stuff? It's from Warren, like a lot of other "Budget" oils, including the AmazonBasics and Supertech. It has the appropriate certifications. Obviously I wouldn't put it in a race car or Lambo. For a regular car that's a DD it likely isn't going to know the difference between $3/qt or $9/qt.

    I ran Walmart shit in my silver truck and I got 300K miles on it and it still runs like a champ! So I'm prime proof that you don't have to buy the top dollar stuff to maintain your vehicle. Just another Tacoma owner's experience...

    For our trucks, that's the only one I care about. Are there better oils, probably. This one meets the requirements Toyota publishes.

    Why exactly do you consider it to be so sub-par compared to the big 3 you listed? I'm asking seriously here.

    Take his word on it!! As soon as he got that MF, he drained that oil and put some good ol’ Walmart oil and did his oil changes and he’s never had to do anything ever to it.

    Just my experience man, 300K miles on walmart supertech. Imagine that...no way that can happen right? Since it's doesn't cost as much as other oils?

    In my 85 I ran high dollar Synthetic for 400k miles. After that it started burning a quart a week, so I ran Delo400 15/40 for the next 190k miles.

    I still use high dollar syn because today's engines are built like yesteryears formula 1's. Engines from 30 years ago, do not require what today's engines need.
