Anybody have experience with these guys?

    https://adventure-motors.com/

They have a 4Runner I am interested in but it would be a flight out and drive home. Reviews online seem good, just spoiled by a few unjustified 1 stars.

But def getting some insight from the TW community would be helpful. Thanks!

I know @ResearchMonkee has been there before. I think his buddy bought a Tundy from them.
Maybe he can chime in. I know the KCTC is usually all over them, I talked to them about my regear but went another route......

My buddy's tundra that he bought from them has been great. However, i think they did not look at the shocks and lead springs. He ended up getting bilsteins 5100 and new springs.

He was told that the owner bought the tundra for a family member and worked on it, but family member backed out and that's why it was sold.

I'd say make sure they've inspected things thoroughly. We would have told them to fix the springs and shocks.

    Cool, thanks man.

That's prob something to replace on the mileage I'm looking at anyways, but yeah good advice to maybe see if they can provide some documentation on the inspection. Appreciate it.

I thought they were pretty cool guys. They put the suspension and tires on my 4Runner last year and they did a great job. They sure know their Toyota trucks.

I've been there before and looked at a truck they had so I have some experience with them. The main advantage of buying from them is they dont sell junk (only clean carfax, they prefer OffRoad models, etc). The out of state buyers they use at auctions, etc to find inventory look over vehicles more thoroughly than a normal used car dealer and are familiar with the common issues but you typically do pay a little more for vehicles from them. The truck I had looked at had come from an Eastern State with some frame rust but no holes. The owner said they he has buyers who look for specific models for sale for him so Im just going by what he said. Most vehicles you buy from them will still need service, they typically only change the oil and diff fluids, the one I saw did not have an OEM filter, they use a shop in the same complex for service. If its a model you are seeking and the price is decent, I would go for it. Ive seen posts on here from a guy on here who had them find a 6 speed Tacoma for him and he said he was happy with them.

That might have been me. I was picky about the color/trim/transmission; they were able to hunt down exactly what I wanted in a fairly short time, and the final price with finder's fee was not outrageous.

I second pretty much everything said about them this far, though as always with any used vehicle be sure to do your own due diligence. Pretty honest and straight-forward guys to deal with.

Did you buy the 4Runner from them? I’m interested in one of the Tacoma’s they have.

I know this is old, but I'm local to them and would love an excuse to go look at their inventory if you need some up close pics or quality assessment.

I am an ambassador in Toyota Ladies United for Kansas! We have an event in the works in Euerka Springs, Arkansas for a weekend in June. This event will include women all over the midwest. We need to know a estimated number of people that would be interested in coming down as Euerka Springs allows car groups to have parades and it would be pretty badass to have a group of women with badass Toyotas 1f603_dbc23a12a5249f9f242318873d874c91e5e60968.png:D Families are welcome also TIA

I'm the only local female I know of that's active on TW; if you haven't yet, you should try to find the Kansas City Toyota Club on Facebook. Lots of women on there. A lot of them actually take trips down to Arkansas as well to wheel.
