The TPMS module is installed in the roof. I doubt they would install it if it is not used. I looked into it because I wanted to export my truck to the USA, but I have not so far found a way to retrofit TPMS.

I just picked up my Canadian 2021 TRD Sport MT. No TPMS system. I think I have the wiring in the back of where the button should be, but no button, just a plastic cover.

I like TPMS and would be currious as to what would be involved and how much it would cost to add this.

As far as I could tell, the controller is normally installed in the roof above the driver's head. You'd have to get a controller out of a wrecking yard and take the headliner down to install it. The controller probably has a CANbus connection, so you'd be fishing a cable under the dash somewhere, there's probably an empty socket if you go down there with a flashlight.

It might just work, but it probably won't.

I had the bright idea to sell my truck down to the US market and make a profit, sadly it's not possible to import to the states without TPMS.

You can buy aftermarket TPMS systems that plug into the lighter socket.

TPMS is pretty much an American thing, not required in Canada as far as I know. It's pretty easy to feel when a tire is low on air.

Thank you for sharing this information. I'll see if I can get a part number for this module and then maybe I can get lucky at my junk yard.
