break in versus modern transmissions

    i get it that the manual says no constant speeds for first 1000, but the rpm is more critical here than speed... in fact, running at 55mph taching at 2000 versus running at 25 mph prob is very little difference in rpm- the sutomatic trans ensures it!

    If you are serious, just follow the manual. Toyota engineers put a lot of time and money into the truck. They want you to perform the break in properly.
