There’s one I saw recently sell for nearly $40k with more miles than this, something like 12k miles.

It looks good but odd a truck like this only has 4600 miles in almost 40 years. I’m curious how someone just let it sit around.

I wonder if the aftermarket wheels will hurt or help the value? I would want the original wheels for sure, and the seller didn't mention if they were included with the sale of the truck. I think it's interesting that the factory spare appears to be set up for winter studs.

Also, is that some kind of aftermarket air cleaner on the carb?

Having owned a brand new 1979, I recognize that tire. It is in fact the OEM tire. I wouldn't trust it on the pavement but it does bring back memories. :)

Just a quick guess that is an aftermarket Weber carb and air filter

The door sills are so scuffed up. There is no way they could get so scuffed in 4600 miles unless the passenger and driver were getting in and out every 1/4 mile. Looks very fishy to me.

5 digit odometer. I’m guessing maybe it’s rolled over once or twice. Interesting the auction has ended.

Yea, the description says the odometer "shows 4,500 miles..." Doesn't mean it's not 104,500 or more. Some of the red paint in the doorjambs and tailgate area don't match the shiny red exterior (and I don't think old Toyota trucks EVER had paint that looked that good). I doubt anyone would have lifted at truck like that and added expensive wheels and tires and then never drove it. Plus a seemingly new spray-in bedliner... And finally that interior seems a bit dingy for just 4500 miles. I bet the auction ended because bidders got the real story at some point. Looks to me like a really nice restoration job, but not an original ultra-low milage truck.

5 digit ODs were a guessing game on older cars. These are out of alignment... dead giveaway it's rolled over at least once. Undercarriage shows a lot of rust & grease/oil. Frame looks painted. Muffler replaced. And everything BuddyS said. Wonder what the reserve was?!
