I was scrolling through my choices on Amazon Prime last night and came across this 1 hour documentary on cats. I don't necessarily agree with everything said, but it's worth watching if you've got the time.

Forgot I had taken this one; my neighbor's cat sitting under one of my bird feeders. They actually have two of these cats, (they're Ragdolls), the other one looks just like this one except for a white patch on its nose up to its forehead. Too bad they're strictly outdoor cats. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered kidnapping them both and keeping them indoors.

Helen didn't want to get up this morning. She makes such a nest in my blankets, one of which I put on top just for her because it's super soft and she loves it. Not spoiled, nope.

Aren't ragdolls expensive? Why even bother if you just leave them outside 24/7? You should kidnap them!

Neighbors got them because their two little girls wanted a kitty. They stay outside 'cause mom's "allergic", but really she just doesn't want them in the house. This info comes from my sister who works with "mom". These aren't the first cats they've had either but they are the first ones who lasted more than a year before disappearing.

My sister told the mom I said I was thinking of kidnapping the cats. "Mom" said that would be OK with her.

I would do it then... seriously. Sounds like they are an afterthought at best to that family, not to mention their poor record of keeping their former cats around.

Ok ok maybe don't just 'take' them but if the mom said she wouldn't mind, maybe make it official by going through her directly. Sounds like you'd give them a much better home

Aside from just doing the right thing for your pets, seems like she missed an opportunity to teach her kids about responsibility and caring for a living, loving animal.

Apparently there's only room for one cat on this bed

Don't encourage me. It wouldn't be without precedent though, that's pretty much how I got my best buddy Bandit. When the renters next door moved out and left their cat behind I started feeding it and when they finally showed up looking for it I told them they had forfeited all rights to the cat and it was mine now. "That's OK, we were gonna give her away anyway, she doesn't get along with our dogs."

    RIP Old girl.

Yeah. Every time dad shows up at my door with his crying little girls asking if I've seen their missing kitty I'm tempted to teach someone a lesson. Not in front of the kids though.

That's how I got Harley, back in 2012 the girl that rented my old room before me left him there and he was barely being cared for by the other 2 roommates.

I used to have one neighbor that had outside dogs. He’d get kittens and leave them outside with said dogs. Well the dogs would eventually kill the kittens. Pissed me off to no end. He eventually stopped bringing home kittens because they kept “disappearing” the day or next day after bringing them home.

Before a bunch of TW folks show up at my neighbors house with torches and pitchforks I should maybe back pedal a little here. I mean they're hardly the only ones that have cats that stay outside and the cats aren't abused. They're well fed, neutered and they have a sheltered and insulated dog house under the back porch so the cats can get in out of the weather. It's just that we're in a rural area with plenty of possums, raccoons and coyotes all of which can present a danger to an unaware kitty. They are really beautiful cats; I worry about them.

On a lighter note, Hobbes is sitting on the back of the couch in my home office, watching me surf TW and wondering when I'm gonna get off my ass and get him some treats.

Yep, I said the T word. Let's go!
