'14 RC Bench Seat Woes

OK SO I just picked up a 2014 Regular Cab 5MT 4WD. I've always wanted this truck and I've finally found one in ok condition.

But... I have sciatica and the bench seat gives me some mild pain after 20+ minutes of driving.

I've already done the recline mod and I've made a 1.5" spacer at the front and a 1" spacer for the rear and I made a center console (see photo below). I've tried lumbar pillows but they all fumble around because it's a bench seat and there's no way for the straps to go around the seat.

I've done tons of Googling for solutions and everyone seems to agree that a seat swap would be extra complicated because of the airbag situation. Although I am mechanically and fabricationally inclined, I don't feel great about my electrical skills. I originally had an idea to stick Mercedes Metris take-out seats in like I did with my Trooper (see photo below). Those seats are super duper comfortable and I got em brand new on eBay for about $400 shipped, with sliders included.

There are no late-2nd-gen factory Tacoma bucket seats in my area, apparently.

Wet-Okole covers have a lumbar option but the material they come in mixed with the hot ass summers here in SoCal and my overly sweaty booty seem like a bad idea.

My final thought is maybe an aftermarket lumbar support kit that slips inside the seat.

I just bought a '13 RC manual with bench seat. I'm with you on the comfort especially on longer drives. I like the center console. Have thought of making one also. Relatively easy to do??
