2015 TRD Offroad, bought with 49k miles on it.

I'm terrible at keeping up with forums, but I thought it'd be nice to keep a record of the slow and steady evolution of the truck. The build isn't going to be anything wild, but it'll be mine all the same.

    Current Mods:
    DV8 Ebay front bumper
    Smittybilt 9500 XRC winch
    Fox 2.0 Coilovers and shocks
    285/75R16 BFG A/T TA KO2
    Pro Comp 16" wheels
    Cali Raised amber pods

    Coming next:
Leveling block because the ass is saggy
    Skid plate, open to suggestions
And about 1500 other things I'm forgetting at the moment

Down the road I'm looking to get a bed cap as well.

    Also important, my co-pilot Tommy:

Here's the day I brought her home back in March 2019:

Installed the new tires, coilovers and shocks before I even got the registration :D

Took a trip from South Dakota to western CO and Utah back in May to test out the truck.

Put on "the ebay bumper" today. Technically a DV8 bumper.

    It was unpleasant.

I didn't take many pictures of the install because of how frustrating it was, but this is essentially how it went. In order to attach the bottom part of the bumper to the truck, we had to take the brackets holding the sway bar off. But, since it was a reject ebay bumper, the tabs that were meant to go under the sway bar brackets were bent way out of shape and had to be persuaded back into shape. Which cost quite a bit of time. Then a couple mistakes when hooking up the winch but ultimately everything is mostly working as it should. Pod lights to come next.

Uh idk if I want to get into that eBay bumper. The 2 piece looked ok. 5 piece looks like a mess. I may just have to find a kit and build it.

You're not wrong. Knowing what I do now, I would've gone a different route.

It was also advertised as 3 piece, so imagine my surprise. o_O

I have the 2 piece eBay bumper it’s been a solid unit over all but I’m jumping ship and ordered a full hooped one.
