When my aunt got married in 1957 her husband gave her a brand new T-Bird. He died 6 years later. She hated driving the car and she paid a guy to come by once a month and drive it and maintain it. These cars are difficult to get in and out of as your head hits the curve in the roof, plus they have blind spots near that famous porthole window. Decades later when she passed away my dad inherited it. It has less than 50K original miles. The original dry rotted spare tire is still in the trunk. My dad offered me the car but I didn't have a place to store it and didn't have the funds to maintain it when he offered it to me. This year both of those are going to change and I can't wait to tell him and get the car.

How many miles? How much pad material is left? Are there drums beat up or have a lip where the shoes have worn down the drum so there's a lip on the open side of the drum?
I use OEM. For the miles I get out of brakes it's a no brainier. From my experience those lifetime pads are a joke. They work well, but you replace them every couple years along with rotors that usually aren't lifetime warranty. Add brake fluid, your time. But they'll give you new pads/ shoes for free...:jerkoff:

I see what you did there...

Thanks! It’s been riding there for about 6 months until I finally cleaned up my underhood wiring mess and ran the power circuit to it yesterday

Any Mods? One. Maybe two, tops...
Want to keep my Northstar 27F battery healthy and happy, so did this...

Started at night with the “smart” GENM1 NOCO

I recently posted that I had ordered Bilstein 5100's, over the weekend I got around to installing the rears. SUPER easy to do the rears. Anyone who is hesitant to do it, don't be. You don't need to remove the tires, jack up the rear, etc. Leave it be. My only piece of advice is to grease the bottom rubber bits of the shock. I tried putting them in without grease and my man-strength wasn't enough to get them in. Added a bit of grease, slid right in no problem. After that I gave her a good wash and wax.

Volant CAI, TRD Exhaust, Throttle Body Expansion with vortex, too many others to mention.
Since I switched out my stock exhaust for a TRD Catback back during the Christmas holidays I have been checking the flange connection regularly since the bolt stops kept me from tightening it down to the torque specs. I was out doing some 4H wheeling yesterday on some moderate hills. Just for S&G I checked it when I was done. I noticed a drop of condensation right under the flange. Would this be normal after some twisting around or could there be a leak at the flange?

    Thanks.

I did that once, had my Step dad dump a full scoop out of our Kobota front loader. Great traction, but the Damn snow didn't melt until halfway through spring. Killed my gas millage. After learning from that mistake, I made a little wood frame that trapped 2 40lb bags of softner salt over the rear axle. I would just give the bags to my dad after winter was over. Works great!

I'm curious, is there a noticeable difference in perfomance with a K&N air filter?
