the vehicle works, the radio is a POS. Bought the truck myself cause I'm a big boy, just choose not to make a big deal out of small shit...if you wanna be a whiny asshole that's up to you or you could choose to find a way to deal with it.

I worked hard for my truck, it took me 3 years of wanting a Tacoma to get to the point of getting one. A radio that freezes up every once in a while is not going to make me concerned about the whole truck. My computer at home will freeze up every once in a while too, but I still use it. I spent 2 grand on a refrigerator because it has a tablet built in it, the circuit board went out on the fridge. It was replaced under warranty and I still put food in that fridge and didn't request a new one.
I have enough other things to stress over, I am not going to let a radio kill my love for the truck overall.

I think your parent bought your car, and you just don't want to cop to it. It's okay pal. Lot of you young guys still live with you folks. Next time you find yourself with spare change, buy a little common sense and some manors.

And to think your generation calls melenials snowflakes. What you need to do is walk in that dealer look em square in the eyes, shake their hand and tell them I want my radio fixed.

Apparently “thinking” isn’t your strong suit. You seem to “think” that your entire truck is useless do to the radio freezing up occasionally. Maybe quit “thinking” so much, use “a little common sense”, & start with what you actually know. The radio is fucked up, not your truck. & radios don’t cost $40k. Now quit crying. You’re a grown man.

I would suggest following @payrow ’s suggestions and running the unit without any Bluetooth or even wired connections for a few days. If it doesn’t hiccup, add the Bluetooth back and run that a few days until you can replicate the issue and find cause. If it still does it, make some more noise with the dealer.

While I appreciate your frustration with the dealer, so many people goto the dealership because of a phone issue and they have to weed out the real issues and the people who just don’t understand how things work. Not saying you’re one of those people but there is only one person that cares about your truck like you do, you! and as is the case with many things in life, if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.

Happend then had it replaced at the dealer. Quick call to Corp. $100 deductible on the warranty they replaced the radio. Before it would constantly restart, as if you were starting the truck. Then with the heat on it would go black and nothing would work, lights, sound, camera all out. Toyota replaced the radio a 2nd time and it's been good since may 19

I love how the OP starts crying about his radio then throws a tantrum and then attempts to insult the people trying to help him.

I think we all know who the real child is here.

LMAO it’s not Friday but I needed a laugh on a Monday.

The last couple days it’s been freezing on me in the morning only. Touch screen and buttons do nothing. It’s weird cause it’s only in the morning and it will be good at some point on the way to work (7 min drive). the reverse camera is the only thing that works/comes on.

my iPad is the only thing that auto connects for me and I use pandora to listen.
