Oversized tires, lift, electrical mods

Has anyone ever mounted a cb or GMRS in their headliner? I'm buying a GMRS and am trying to find a good spot to mount it. My idea was to take the headliner down, make a cut out for the radio in front of the dome light. (There seems to be a hump that'd be perfect to tuck a small radio in), slap it back together and slide the radio in.
If anyone has thought of this idea before and has pictures, please share.
