We drove the length of NH, from Canada to the seacoast, and it was AWESOME!

    Looks like a great trip! I just got done with a trip up to NH that I am currently writing a trip report for as well. Mt. Washington was awesome. You guys have any overheating issues?

    We did not. Closest we came was Rich's truck getting warm towing his trailer while we were crawling down some of the class-VI roads on Monday.

    Pan temp on my trans broke 200 climbing the Mtn. Sure Rich's was higher.. But no real issues. The cool weather that morning helped a ton

    @SR-71A @mhoadley @STgen3 @Skierrichy

    You guys feel up to helping me build a VT version of the trip? Got a basic route, just need to scour the VTrans maps and put as much of it on dirt as I can, then spend a few weekends scouting it this spring and summer.

    Sounds good to me:thumbsup:
    I have been doing some research on staying on dirt as much as possible in VT but I have yet to put it together yet.
    I'm using combination of the Delorme Map, Google maps (sattallite view) and my GPS unit on account it tells me where the dirt trails are.

    The A,B,C,D areas are insane, there is alot going on there and many different options but there seems to be dead ends everywhere.
    I suspect that some dead ends I'm seeing are not true.

    Same as last year, over Labor Day weekend? I could be convinced. I'ma follow this thread and see where it goes - might end up tagging along at Burlington if I'm allowed :D

    My plan is to put together the pieces this summer and possibly do the entire trip over Labor Day, IF it's ready. If I don't get the whole thing worked out by the end of the season it'll hopefully be ready for next year. I'm putting it down on paper now, and I want to take a handful of weekend trips this season to work out small sections of the full trip, scout some roads that are listed on the state road maps as 'legal trails', 'discontinued', and 'unpassable' (let's see what that really means), to get as much of this onto less-traveled dirt roads as I possibly can. I'm planning to start the big trip so that Day-1 will start from somewhere on the Canadian border and start working south, Day-2 and 3 will continue down until we hit MA somewhere around Williamstown or North Adams. Camping will hopefully be discreet and off-grid, much like we did this past year.

    If you can start day 2 in Burlington I'd be in almost for sure. I might be convinced of the oh Canada border, but I'm so flexible if you'll allow my obnoxious self in

    Let me know when you're doing the southern VT scouting I could be down for a weekend trip here and there I'm down in RI.
