Can't recall, can someone chime in? Did he get his code changes incorporated with adaptive cruise? If not, that's probably your issue. ??

Are you using adaptive cruise control ? ACC will screw with the tune and produce results like you’re stating.

How about ECT? I’m running 2.0 beta, 19800 and switch on ECT when travelling at highway speed. No issues for me.

If you turn ECT on while in D it can't downshift...

If you are talking about gearlock...it doesn't work in Cruise Control, won't lock

    I wish it did

I once had an average size 100w tiltable solar panel on top of my ARE camper. Folded down it sits about 4" high.
It dropped me an easy 2mpg at highway speeds. I was running 1.04 at the time. Wind drag is just that - a drag.
Anything catching the wind in most trucks will significantly reduce mpg. Just a fact!

Interesting, I was in D, not using cruise control and pressed ect out of old habit just this weekend, took me a second to figure out what was happening.

It can’t be commanded to downshift with a peddle depression but you can get your downshift from 6 to 4 by pulling the shift lever to S from D. 2.0 final remedies this.

I'm thinking you can press CC twice to use Cruise w/o the adaptive...I'm thinking I read his code works in that manner. ?? Unsure, but you might give it a try. I may have dreamed I read that though . Mine is a '16 w/o the adaptive cruise, so I may be talking out of my butt!

I believe it's a long hold of the cruise button.

I put it in S6 on the highway. I find it hits and holds 6th a lot more than being in “D”

Once you upgrade it, for what it's worth I've put at least a thousand miles each on 16012 & 91 octane 19800, only a couple hundred on 19770 due to tip-in. I'm currently running 16012 and it suits my driving style the best. For one thing, it holds third gear longer. Mine still hunts, but not nearly as bad as stock. I'm lifted with heavy wheels (17x9 - 31lbs each) and tires (55lbs each - E-rated KO2's). I'm at a point where the hunting is self inflicted with all that weight the truck needs to sling around. YMMV.

Also, I had to figure out how to upgrade the ECU and followed the instructions @tonered had linked to you. I wasn't interested in going to the dealer, because...dealer. I'm by no means a tech genius, but was able to figure it out. Just keep the instructions handy. It makes sense when you're actually plugged into the truck and doing it. Good luck!

Did you do the TSB tune before or after you had OVT? I did it about 8mo before I got OVT.

If you did it after, how much difference did you feel?

I had OVT before I did the TSB and was running 1.05.1. I did the TSB so I could apply the 2.0 Betas. 04A60 wasn't being released fast enough, so my fear of flashing the TSB was negated by my need to FLASH MOAR TUNEZ!

    Thanks.

I can totally understand that. I think the TSB flashing dropped off until the Betas were posted.

    Flashing is fun.
